Introducing: Ina, Executive Assistant at Fern & Fossil

Hello fellow plant lovers!

@Onyero Anikwe

@Onyero Anikwe

My name is Ina and I’ve been an executive assistant here at Fern & Fossil for the past year.

So a little bit about me:

My favorite plant is a Burro’s Tail (Sedum morganianum). It was the first plant I had that I could take care of. As much as I hate to admit it, I wasn’t always the great plant mom I am today, but Burro’s Tail plants are so simple to care for. I named my first plant baby Pablo, and he’s my favorite to this day.

I fancy myself a witch. I grew up fascinated by plants, nature and the occult. When I think of witchcraft, I see it more as a spiritual connection to the world around us. My practice helps me be more aware of my surroundings and create a ritual of self care. Plants are a big part of that, along with crystals, herbs, introspection, and community. They provide my life with healing and color the ordinary with the extraordinary.

My life’s passion is the arts. Since I was a little girl, I’ve loved to paint and draw. I like to dedicate my spare time to pursuing my dreams of creating art and promoting other artists’ work. I believe that art has the capacity to create change and speak to the collective experience of humanity. Art inspires and provides comfort in times of the uncertain, and should be accessible to all people.

I’m so happy that I get to be part of Fern & Fossil as a small woman owned business and I love my job. I’m excited to write more for you all to read and for what comes in the future.

Till next time,

Ina
